Loving McD's

Metz has never made his dad happier than this moment.  A friend brought Cort a double quarter pound cheeseburger from Puerto Rico.  Metz loved every bite his dad would let him have.  I think Cort had a tear in his eyes watching his son follow in his footsteps.  Cort decided that Metz is now worthy to carry on the family name.

Ok, really this is all we did over Cort's Break!

SSSSHHHHH, Secret Beach
Ok, I promise this really is the last thing we did over Cort's break.  It's a little private beach which you can only access by boat.  There a two reefs to explore and Cort found even more fish to kill.  Metz really liked this one.
Clockwise this is Metz, Christian, Chris (christian's dad) and Jesse.  Enjoying the nice sand at Secret beach.  Metz and Christian are exactly a year apart and have been here to whole time together.  They are such great friends! They see each other and run to each other all excited, but then don't know what to do.  They are very cute together.
Happy Family enjoying the Caribbean Sea.

The Rest of Cort's Break

Syndicate Falls
A very beautiful waterfall not very far from the campus.  It is a source of water for a village so we couldn't play in it, but to see it was still very cool.
We walked under a canopy of trees, crossed the river three times and passed many fruit trees.  Metz walked almost the whole way.  He enjoyed all the scenery and all the students saying how cute he was.
Happy Family.  We were part of the Welcoming Committee for the two weeks Cort was off.  This was one of our adventures.  Hey, don't make fun of the Welcoming Committee thing, they paid us :).
"A nana tree".  Metz had to point out all the banana trees and had to have a picture with one.
Metz was also very proud of the pineapple bush.  He would show it to anyone that would listen. Cute kid.

AAARRRGGGHHH! PIRATE BEACH

If you live in the Caribbean, I'm pretty sure it is a requirement to go to at least one Pirate Beach.  Well here is ours.  It was a 10 minute walk down and worth it!
The final leg! Metz could see the water and so there was no stopping him.  As always, he has a ball on hand to kick.
Cort jumped right in to explore the reef.  We really enjoyed this beach.  There was so much to see and do.  Cort spent quite a lot of time at the reef between walking and snorkeling.  We hope to go back one more time.
Metz enjoyed the beautiful sand at the beach.  Building and knocking down towers, he can't get enough of it.
Even after a year I'm still amazed that the jungle almost touches the water and it is so lush!

Party at Purple Turtle

Me and Leigh (cute leigh is four months pregnant, she is a trooper!) at the party :) We wanted to have a branch activity before school started and we never saw our husbands again.
The Whites!!! They were our missionary couple that kept us in line and taken care of.  This was their last activity before leaving.  We miss them!
Ok the rest of the day was all about jumping.  Metz jumped off the pier and loved it.
The men had a game of jumping off the pier and "trying" to catch the ball on the paddle.  If you look just above Matt's back (leigh's husband) you can see the ball.  Sorry to point that out Matt.
Last for the day was jumping from the rope on the coconut tree.  Wherever there is fun to be had, you'll find Cort.  Luckily with all the jumping there were no injuries to report.

Tan Lines

So this is what you look like after 2 full weeks of fun in the sun! And yes I used sunscreen every time on that cute little kid.  Got to love that Caribbean Sun!!!
